Parklands wins the ICE Award

Awarded by the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust (SSAT), the ICE Award (Investing in Community Engagement) recognises the work schools do with the wider community.  This new SSAT Quality Mark celebrates the community dimension of our specialism and we are delighted to have received this award in recognition of our community partnership working.  Community partnerships play a key role in the education of Parklands students, and as an outward facing school we welcome opportunities for working with members and groups of our local community in addition to the national and global communities which enhance our students' lives.

Following a BTEC Media Studies advertising project, Tom's ad was chosen by Mr Fielding to be featured on the front page of The Guardian.  Tom was presented with a framed copy of the front page and a set of the printing plates.
